The design is lovely, I ordered it to small and that is my fault. I will order it larger so the writing can be seen better.

Love it. If I ordered again, I might order something a little larger but for most of my pieces, this one works. Thanks

Discover the beauty of reactive pottery with peace of mind. Stampty’s Eco-Safe "Flower Bloom" Glaze is a high-temperature, ready-to-use liquid glaze formulated with safety and environmental friendliness at its core. When fired, this unique glaze creates stunning, blooming crystalline patterns reminiscent of flowers. It can be used alone for a subtle effect or applied over underglazes to add depth and a dynamic, flowering finish to your ceramic art without harsh chemicals.

  • Eco-Conscious & Safe: Formulated to be environmentally friendly and safer for studio use compared to traditional reactive glazes.

  • "Flower Bloom" Effect: Creates beautiful, unpredictable crystalline or floral blooms during high-fire cycles.

  • Optimal Volume: Ready-to-use liquid "glaze water" format. Contains 500 ml (Metric) / 16.9 fl oz (approx. 1 US Pint).

  • Firing Temperature: Designed for Mid/High-fire. Achieves optimal blooming effects at Cone 5/6 ranges: 1180°C ~ 1260°C (Metric) or 2156°F ~ 2300°F (US Imperial).

  • Application Versatility: Excellent for brushing or dipping. Works beautifully on bare bisque or layered over underglaze designs.

Step-by-Step Application:

  1. Preparation (Shake Well): As a reactive liquid glaze, essential particles settle. Shake the bottle vigorously and stir well before every use to ensure a consistent bloom effect.

  2. Application Strategy:

    • Solo Use: Apply to clean, bisque-fired ware.

    • Over Underglaze: Ensure your underglaze design is fully dry/bisqued before applying this glaze over it.

  3. Coating & Drying: Apply 2 to 3 medium coats using a soft brush. It is critical to let each coat dry completely to the touch before applying the next. The thickness affects the size of the "flowers."

  4. Firing: Fire in a ceramic kiln between 1180°C - 1260°C (2156°F - 2300°F) / Cone 5-6. Note: Crystalline glazes can sometimes run; consider leaving a small unglazed foot or using a catch-plate in the kiln.
